Our Services

General and Preventive Dentistry

From a routine cleaning to a smile makeover to full-arch implants — our team handles it in-house with modern technology and an unhurried approach.

Cleanings & Exams

Comprehensive twice-yearly checkups including digital X-rays, oral cancer screening, a full clinical exam by Dr. Allison Bartley, and a professional cleaning by one of our hygienists. Most adults should come every six months; some patients need more frequent care depending on periodontal status.

Emergency Dentistry

Same-day appointments for severe toothaches, broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, soft tissue injuries, and post-operative concerns. Call (847) 382-0700 as early in the day as possible.

Occlusal & Sports Guards

Custom-fit night guards to protect teeth from grinding (bruxism) and custom sports mouthguards for patients who play contact sports. Both are fabricated from digital impressions for a precise, comfortable fit.

Oral Cancer Screening

Visual and tactile examination of the lips, cheeks, tongue, floor of mouth, palate, and throat at every comprehensive exam. Early detection dramatically improves outcomes, and screening takes only a few minutes.

Teeth Cleaning

Professional cleaning by our registered dental hygienists. Routine prophylaxis for healthy gums, or scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) if gum disease is present. All cleanings include polishing, fluoride application on request, and personalized home care coaching.

Our Services

Cosmetic Dentistry

Subtle enhancements to full smile makeovers, designed to look natural and balanced with your face.

Botox for Cosmetic

Cosmetic Botox delivered by our dental team for forehead lines, crow’s feet, and other facial aesthetic concerns. Also available for TMJ-related masseter muscle treatment and gummy smile correction.

Dental Bonding

Tooth-colored composite resin sculpted to repair chips, close small gaps, reshape teeth, or cover discolored areas. Usually completed in one visit and often without anesthesia.

Veneers

Thin custom-fabricated porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth to correct shape, color, size, and minor alignment concerns. Options include traditional porcelain veneers and minimal-prep or no-prep veneers when clinically appropriate.

Zoom Teeth Whitening

In-office professional whitening using Zoom technology that brightens teeth several shades in a single appointment. Fast, safe, and supervised by our clinical team. Take-home whitening trays also available for gradual results.

Our Services

Restorative Dentistry

Repair damaged teeth and replace missing ones with durable, natural-looking restorations.

Digital Dentures

Full and partial dentures designed using digital scanning for precision fit. Faster fabrication, better accuracy, and digital records that simplify replacement if a denture is ever lost or broken.

Root Canal Therapy

Save teeth whose nerves have been damaged by decay, trauma, or infection. Modern root canals are routine and comfortable; the pain most people associate with the procedure is the pain they had before it, not during or after.

Dental Fillings

Tooth-colored composite fillings for cavities, small fractures, and worn areas. We do not place amalgam (silver) fillings.

Dental Bridges

Fixed, non-removable replacements for one or more missing teeth. A bridge is anchored to the teeth on either side of the gap and restores both function and appearance.

Same-Day CEREC Crowns

Custom ceramic crowns designed, milled, and placed in a single visit using in-office CAD/CAM technology. No traditional impression, no temporary crown, no second appointment.

Dental Crowns

Full-coverage restorations for teeth that are cracked, broken, heavily restored, or weakened after root canal therapy. Materials include porcelain, zirconia, and porcelain-fused-to-metal, selected based on the tooth and its chewing demands.

Our Services

Implants and Specialty Care

Long-term tooth replacement and adult orthodontics, planned with 3D imaging and computer-guided technology.

Bone Grafting

Preparation for implants when the jaw bone has receded after tooth loss or gum disease. Several types of grafting are available depending on how much bone is needed and where.

Clear Aligners

ClearCorrect clear aligner orthodontics for adults and teens with mild to moderate crowding, spacing, or bite issues. Removable, nearly invisible, and treatment typically takes 6-18 months depending on complexity.

Implant Overdentures

Full dentures anchored to 2-4 dental implants for dramatically improved stability and chewing function compared to conventional dentures. A good option for patients who have lost all teeth in an arch and want better quality of life than a traditional denture provides.

Dental Implants

Titanium tooth roots surgically placed in the jaw to replace one or more missing teeth. After healing, a crown, bridge, or denture is attached to the implant. Implants provide the closest replacement to a natural tooth in function, appearance, and longevity.

Common Questions

Common Questions

How long has South Barrington Dental Care been in operation?

South Barrington Dental Care has been serving patients in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago for years and has built a strong local reputation for comprehensive, patient-centered care. Dr. Allison Bartley leads the practice and the all-female clinical team.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we welcome new patients of all ages. You can call (847) 382-0700 or request an appointment online. First visits typically take 60-90 minutes.

What makes your practice different from a dental chain?

We are a small, independent practice. That means no corporate quotas, no rotating providers, and no upselling for upselling’s sake. You see the same team consistently, and treatment recommendations come from what your mouth needs, not what a regional manager wants us to push.

Do you treat children?

Yes. We see patients of all ages, including children, and our team is experienced with first dental visits, pediatric preventive care, and working gently with kids.

What should I expect at my first visit?

A comprehensive exam, digital X-rays, oral cancer screening, and when appropriate, a professional cleaning. Dr. Allison Bartley will review findings with you, show you images from intraoral cameras, and answer any questions. You will leave with a written treatment plan if any work is recommended.
