How Our Team Works Together
Every patient is seen by the same core team each visit, which means better continuity of care and relationships that actually form over time. Hygienists review periodontal findings with Dr. Allison Bartley before any exam, Ari coordinates complex treatment plans across multiple visits, and Alyssa handles insurance and financial questions so clinical conversations can focus on clinical topics.

Our Hygienists
Candice, Registered Dental Hygienist
Candice has been in the dental field for more than 13 years. She was a dental assistant before completing her hygiene degree in 2013 from Kennedy King College. She joined South Barrington Dental Care in July 2021. Candice is devoted to achieving optimal oral health with passion and empathy for her patients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, three kids, and dog.
Tina, Registered Dental Hygienist
Meet Tina! Tina has been part of the South Barrington Dental Care team for over a year. Tina has been a registered Dental Hygienist since graduating from Harper College in Palatine in 2014. She takes great pride in working with our patients and brings a positive atmosphere into the office daily.Tina enjoys spending her free time with her two children. Additionally, Tina likes to go horseback riding.

Ella, Dental Assistant
Ella came to the U.S. in 2008 from Albania, where she taught English as a second language. She has now been in dentistry since 2015, working as a dental assistant. She is very compassionate and gentle, and she ensures each patient is comfortable. Ella has been married for over 19 years and has two sons. She enjoys family time and being outdoors.

Megan, Receptionist
Megan brings over 10 years of experience in the dental field with a background in oral surgery. Her experience in both clinical and front office roles gives her a unique understanding of the patient experience and what it takes to help a dental practice run smoothly. She enjoys building relationships with patients and creating a welcoming environment for everyone she meets. Outside of the office, Megan loves spending time with her husband, son, and their dog.

Common Questions
Will I see the same hygienist every visit?
Whenever possible, yes. We schedule returning patients with the same hygienist to maintain continuity and so your clinician knows your history, your preferences, and your specific oral health goals.
How long have most team members been with the practice?
Our clinical team members have been with South Barrington Dental Care for between one and several years, with Candice joining in July 2021. Many team members have been in the dental field for 10+ years in their respective roles.
Who do I ask about billing and insurance questions?
Alyssa (office manager) and Ari (treatment and scheduling coordinator) both handle insurance and financial questions. Either can answer questions about your benefits, estimated out-of-pocket costs, or CareCredit and GreenSky financing options.
Are team members bilingual?
Ella is bilingual (Albanian), and our team has experience serving patients with a range of language preferences. Let us know when you schedule if language support would be helpful.
Who should I talk to if I am nervous about dental work?
Our hygienists, Ari, and Ella all have experience supporting anxious patients. Dr. Allison Bartley also discusses sedation options (nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation) when appropriate. Tell us before your appointment and we can plan accommodations in advance.
