How Billing Works

Before Your Visit

We verify your benefits, confirm your deductible and annual maximum, and check whether the services you need are covered. This happens before your appointment so we know what to expect.

At Your Visit

Your treatment plan and estimated patient portion are reviewed before any clinical work begins. If something changes during treatment (for example, a cavity turns out to need a root canal instead of a filling), we stop, discuss the revised plan, and get your approval before proceeding.

After Your Visit

We file claims with your insurance and send you a statement for any remaining patient portion. If your insurance pays more than expected, we refund the difference promptly.

Financing Options

CareCredit

CareCredit is a health and dental credit card with 6, 12, 18, and 24 month interest-free promotional financing for qualifying charges. Many patients use CareCredit for larger treatment plans including dental implants, full smile makeovers, and orthodontic care. Apply in our office or online before your visit.

GreenSky

GreenSky offers longer-term fixed-rate financing for larger cases. Terms are customized based on your credit profile and the treatment total. Our treatment coordinator Ari will walk through your options.

In-Office Payment Plans

For certain cases, we offer in-office payment plans split across the treatment timeline. Ask about this option if financing does not fit your preferences.

Non Insuranced

No Insurance? No Problem

Many of our patients pay for dental care entirely out of pocket. Here is how we make that easier:

Transparent pricing

Written treatment plans before any work begins. No hidden fees.

Competitive self-pay rates

Our self-pay rates are set to reflect what the work actually costs, not the inflated numbers some practices use as starting points for insurance negotiations.

Phased treatment plans

For veneer cases, we may create a mock-up you can wear for a day or two so you can see how the new smile looks in your own mouth.

Preventive focus

Regular cleanings and exams are the best way to keep long-term dental costs down. Prevention almost always beats restoration.

FAQs

Common Questions

Can you tell me what a procedure will cost before I commit?

Yes. For any procedure more involved than a cleaning, we build a written treatment plan with your estimated out-of-pocket cost before you agree to proceed. Request an appointment for a consultation if you want pricing before scheduling treatment.

Will you file my insurance for me?

Yes. We file claims on your behalf for both in-network and most out-of-network plans so you do not have to deal with paperwork.

What if my insurance denies a claim?

We appeal on your behalf when appropriate. Most legitimate claims are paid after a properly documented appeal. If a claim is truly not covered, we let you know so you can plan.

Do you take Medicaid or Medicare?

Our primary payer mix is PPO dental insurance, CareCredit, GreenSky, and self-pay. Call (847) 382-0700 for the most current list if you are on a specific public plan; options change periodically.

What if I cannot afford the recommended treatment?

Talk to us. We will prioritize what is urgent, phase non-urgent work, and explain financing options including CareCredit and GreenSky. There is almost always a path forward that fits your budget.
