There’s no other place I’d trust with my teeth or my oral health. I seriously love this office. Dr.Athar is the best — even in a dental emergency, she’ll do whatever she can to get you in, sometimes as soon as the next day. And not to mention Candice, my hygienist — she’s so kind, not to mention thorough, and just really good at what she does! Couldn’t ask for a better team!

The front desk is friendly and efficient, the office is clean and modern, and everything runs on time. My dentist is not only incredibly skilled, but also kind and patient, taking the time to explain everything clearly and make sure I’m comfortable. I used to get nervous about dental visits, but now I actually look forward to them! They use up-to-date technology, and I never feel rushed or pressured into treatments I don’t need. It’s clear they truly care about their patients. I’ve already recommended this office to friends and family, and I’ll keep doing so. I recently had my 6 month cleaning and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly from the moment you walk through the door. My dental hygienist was very thorough and explained everything she was doing. Dr Athar found a small dental carie and scheduled me for a filling. The day of the procedure Dr Athar explained everything that she was doing, as well as what to expect in the next few days. She even called me the next day to see how I was doing. It shows she really cares about her patients. I honestly enjoy going to the dentist. I’ve been with South Barrington Dental Care for several years now and can’t imagine ever going anywhere else. Are you afraid of dentists? Well, I have some good news for you..... You can forget being afraid. Dr. Athar and her staff are THE BEST!!! I just had a filling replaced. Never felt the novocaine and she was finished in 10 minutes!!! Every procedure I have had has been quick and painless. Candace is an excellent hygienist. Again fast and through and gentle. Don't have dental "insurance"? Neither do I. This practice has its own plan and it is a GOOD DEAL!!! SERIOUSLY call and make an appointment! You will not be sorry!!

This is by far the best dental group I have ever been to. The entire team is absolutely amazing, kind, and warm. Special thanks to Candice who is an absolute expert in gum health and worked with me, a very nervous patient, to do a serious deep clean. I have more work to do, but they are putting me back on the path to great dental health. In addition, the prices are extremely affordable both with my insurance, but even without! They do it it right - don't go anywhere else.

A few years ago I had to make a decision and find a Dentist because I was in pain and needed some work done. Dr. Steve and his team are amazing!! He runs down all the details and makes me feel comfortable before working in my mouth. His follow up calls definitely puts the icing on the cake. Dr. Steve genuinely cares about our health. Let’s talk about the gate keepers, Jackie, Beth, Ari, Leslie and Ella; these ladies create the atmosphere that soothes you before the actual work starts. Each time I walk in the office they make me feel good about choosing to go to the dentist. Their customer service is on point and they make sure they speak and engage in conversation with me. The hygienist’s Jenny and Candice I’ve only seen a couple of times and they are amazing as well. Shout out to Ella for always making me feel comfortable in the chair, to Beth for always cheering for me and to Jackie for her follow up texts messages and making sure I understand my payment plan. For so long I have been searching for a place where I can get the majority of the work that’s needed in one place. Had amazing veneers done by Dr. Fedyna several years ago, and always loved his staff! I was nervous to return after he sadly passed away, but the new doctor, Dr. Sokolik, is great and works well with people who have some dental anxiety (like myself)! The front desk ladies have always been so kind and welcoming, along with the dental hygienists/assistants and Dr. Steven Sokolik. Coming from someone who doesn’t have dental insurance and usually having to pay out of pocket, Jackie and Missy have worked with me in the past on payment plans so I’m able to get the required work done on my teeth. My hatred for the dentist is finally gone! I’ve avoided them most of my life for obvious reasons, but was pleasantly surprised when it was nothing like I remember. I had a deep cleaning and a few cavities filled with ZERO pain or discomfort. Dr. Sokolik was incredibly friendly and you can tell he really cares about his patients. The ladies at the front desk are always smiling and have been an absolute pleasure to work with! After everything was finished, I decided to cap it off with a whitening. Phenomenal results! Great ending to an all around great experience.

I am someone who has always been anxious when visiting the dentist. I came into the office for the first time with an emergency and the office welcomed me with open arms. Not only did they do investigating into what my issue was but they were also able to refer me to a root canal specialist and get me into them that same day. It was the best, easiest and most comfortable time I have ever experienced at a dental office. I have been back a couple more times since then and it is never anything but a wonderful experience. Prices are more than fair and the doctor and staff truly make you feel like you and your time/issues matter. There dental hygenist Candice is amazing! I will never go anywhere else!

I’m a new patient of Dr. Sokolik and his practice, and I’m so grateful I found him! Dr. Sokolik was incredibly gentle when giving me the Novocaine shot; I didn’t feel a thing. I had a deep cavity in a back tooth, but I was comfortable the whole time. (Last time I had a deep cavity, my former dentist caused so much pain during the filling and afterwards.) My tooth healed well and I had no issues or pain afterwards because of Dr. Sokolik’s skills. I was also impressed with the other staff members. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth was so gentle! She didn’t cause any discomfort and didn’t make my gums bleed. Everyone was pleasantly and helpful in the office. The office has all the latest equipment with their tools and x-ray machines. The whole place was extremely clean, which is a big deal in my book.

Not only do they clean my teeth which exceeds expectations, but they were able to replace my (broken) metal permanent retainer (not originally from their office) and fit/mold for my night guard. Everyone and I do mean everyone did all they could to ensure I was not only given all the options I had for fixing a broken tooth, but also gave me payment options for both insurance and non insurance. After I left I went on to Facebook and bragged how this didn't seem like a business, and I didn't feel like a number but I felt like I was a part of the family. This seriously makes me very excited to go back. I'm particularly fond of Anya because she has been there since I starting going. When I am in the appointment, they always remember what we had talked about last time I went. If anything is wrong, or if I need to do something more, they will certainly tell me right away. I went to South Barrington Dental Care on the recommendation of a good friend. I have always have had a fear of the dentist and Dr. Sokolik and his whole team took their time to make me feel at ease. Durring my appointment they took xrays which was probably the easiest set of xrays I've had. At no point was it uncomfortable or scraped up the inside of my mouth like some times happen. Also Dr. Sokolik took his time explaining what I had going on and set up a consultation to go over my dental plan. Wisdom tooth pain during pregnancy? I know it can’t get worse.
